Now that the 50th Jubilee has wrapped up, this guide walks you through everything you need to fully take back ownership of your Facebook and Instagram Jubilee pages. Follow the steps in order, and reach out if anything is unclear before we finalise the handover.
The 50th Jubilee has been a milestone worth celebrating, and we've loved being part of it. This pack walks you through each step of the handover so you're fully in control of both pages when we're done. Work through the tabs in order It won't take long.
Do not remove agency access until you have confirmed you can log in and manage both pages independently. Start with the "Your Access" tab and confirm everything is working on your end first. We can sort any issues out before we hand over the keys.
Before we remove anything on our end, we need you to confirm you can see and manage both pages on your own. This protects you from getting locked out. Do this step before anything else.
Way easier to sort this out over a quick message now than to deal with access issues later. Once you're confident you can see and manage both pages independently, move on to Step 2.
We've already added your personal accounts as Admin on the Jubilee Facebook Page. All you need to do is confirm you can see it, and we'll remove our side of the access once you give us the thumbs up.
We've already shared the Instagram login details with you. Once you're in, there are a few quick security steps to run through so the account is fully yours.
While you're in the security settings, it's worth switching on two-factor authentication. It adds an extra layer of protection so only you can access the account, even if someone else gets hold of the password.
A few last things we've already taken care of on our end, plus a couple of decisions that are yours to make about what happens to the pages going forward.
There's no wrong answer here. Keeping the pages active means you can keep sharing post-event photos and thank-yous. Archiving means the content is preserved but the pages are hidden from the public. We've outlined both options in detail in the After Handover section of the checklist. Either way, the thank-you post has been pinned to the top of both pages.
Almost there. Once you've confirmed your access to both pages, we'll send through a final handover email and tie off our end.
Here's what your options look like depending on what you decide to do with the pages.
If you run into any access issues after the handover, facebook.com/help is the best starting point. We're also happy to help during the transition period . Just reach out.
Here's the lot in one place. Click each item to tick it off as you work through the handover. Once everything's ticked, reply to the email and we'll confirm all access has been transferred.
If anything is unclear or you run into any issues during the handover, just reach out. Way easier to sort things over a quick message than to spend time chasing access issues alone.
